The Belgian Chamber of Translators and Interpreters (CBTI/BKVT) and seven translation and interpreting schools have formed the LinguaJuris association to promote the quality of services offered by sworn translators and interpreters in Belgium.

In particular, LinguaJuris organises two training sessions: the intensive one-week Interact. J training programme, and the one-year LinguaJuris Certificate in legal translation and interpreting.

To promote the exchange and dissemination of information amongst sworn translators and interpreters and contact with the trainers, the FORUM was created within LinguaJuris.

Another objective of Lingua Juris is the creation of an international form that will be accessible to members of the FORUM.

Members of the LinguaJuris are

  • The Belgian Chamber of Translators and Interpreters (BKVT/CBTI)
  • the Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen, departement voor vertalers en tolken (Artesis)
  • the Erasmushogeschool Brussel, departement Toegepaste Taalkunde (EhB)
